Jane：Hi,Jasmine,you have been in this company for several years.Could you tell me what I should do to prepare for a meeting?

Jasmine：Sure.first of all,the agenda should be prepar-ed before the meeting.Then you should ensure that everyone is properly informed.

Jane：嗨，茉莉，您在这家公司好几年了，您能告诉我该怎么做会议的准备工作吗?

Jasmine：当然。首先，开会前要准备好议程。然后保证应该出席会议的人都通知到。

Jane：I see,and how about the documents and the information?

Jasmine：All the necessary documents and information relevant to the meeting should be available,preferab-ly printed and distributed before the meeting.

Jane：我明白，还有，文件和资料怎么弄?

Jasmine：所有有关会议的文件和资料都得准备妥当，比较好在会议前印好并发出去。

Jane：And what should I do during the meeting?

Jasmine：Of course,you should take minutes.

Jane：那么在会议期间我要做什么呢?

Jasmine：当然你要做纪录。

Jane：What time are we having the meeting?

Jasmine：It's right after lunch in the conference room.

Jane：我们什么时间开会?

Jasmine：就在午饭后，在会议室召开。

Jane：Do you want to meet in my office or use the con-ference room?

Jasmine：I need to use the screen in the conference room so,let's meet there.

Jane：你想在我的办公室开会，还是到会议室去?

Jasmine：我需要会议室里的大屏幕，所以咱们还是在那里开吧。

Jane：How many copies of the presentation materials are we going to need?

Jasmine：I'm guessing 12，but you'd better make it 15 just in case.

Jane：我们需要准备多少份发言材料?

Jasmine：我想应该是12份，但是比较好准备15份，以免不够。

Jane：What is this meeting about anyway?

Jasmine：I think it has something to do with the budget,or hiring,I'm not sure.

Jane：不管怎样，会议是关于什么的?

Jasmine：我想应该与预算或者招聘有关，我不确定。

Jane：And after the meeting?

Jasmine：After the meeting you should type the minutes up,and keep proper records of the business transacted and the resolution passed,and also imple-mented any decision reached at the meeting.

Jane：会后呢?

Jasmine：会后你要把讨论的问题和通过的决议作出纪录，把它打印出来，并把会议上作出的决定进行贯彻。

Jane：I propose we put it to a vote immediately.

Jasmine：I agree with your proposal.Let's get ready to vote.

Jane：我提议我们马上就此投票表决。

Jasmine：我同意你的提议。咱们准备投票吧。

Moderator：It looks like everyone's here.Shall we get started?

Ross：I think John's still missing.He got a phone call just as we were coming in.

会议主持：好象大家都到了。我们可以开始会议了吗?
