A=Mr.Parry(帕里先生)B=Mr.He(何先生)

A:Mr.He,our company is interested in all your products for their high quality.This time I would like to order some gloves and socks.Please quote us CIF New York.

B:How many do you want?We need to know the quantity so as to work out the premium and transportation charges.

A:I plan to place a trial order for 500 units of gloves and 2,000 pairs of socks.

B:All right.Here are our FOB,price lists,but all the prices are subject to our final confirmation.

A:Your price is reasonable but I wonder if you would give us a discount.As you know,we usually get 5%or 6%discount from our South American suppliers for similar products like this.

B:We usually offer on a net basis only.We have been doing business well with many of our clients on this quoted price.

A:Discounts will more or less encourage us to make more effort to push the sale of your products.

B:I am afraid we can not afford to give you a discount,since the quantity you ordered is not qualified for a discount.If you can place a much larger order,well consider giving you a discount.

A:It is impossible for us to make a large order,because this is merely a trial order.However,if the quality of your products is to our satisfaction,additional large orders will follow.

B:Well,as this is the first deal between us,we agree to give you a three-percent discount as a special encouragement.

A:3%?Thats too low a rate.Could you see your way to increase it to 5%?

B:I think the two sides of us need to make a concession.We have made ours and shown our sincerity to do business with you.To be honest,its really a great one for us.The discount could not be raised any further.

A:It seems this is the only proposal for me to accept.Ill come again next Monday to discuss it in detail.

B:All right.See you next Monday.
