Dad: Joe, have you had any luck finding a topic for your thesis?

Joe: Not yet. The professor told us to write about anything in Oriental History.For once I wish she had not given so much choice.

Dad: Well, why not write about the ancient civilization of India? You seem to beinterested in that part of the world.

Joe: I am, but there are too many materials to cover, and the professor onlywants seven to nine pages.

Dad: Then, limit yourself to one region of India, say Bombay. We've been thereand you said it's got lots of interesting relics.

Joe: That's not a bad idea. I bought a lot of books and other things there lastsummer. Thanks, Daddy.

乔: 没有。教授让我们随便写，只要是关于东方史的。这次我真希望她定的范围窄一点。
