Leo：I think fast food tends to make you fat. The stuff from McDonald's or KFC contains too much fat and calories.

Sam：Hamburgers are all right. I mean,my mum says it's all junk,but frankly I can't really see what makes it any different from the stuff she cooks.I mean hamburgers fill you up;and that's what the food is supposed to do,isn't it?There's meat,vegetables and bread and cheese;as far as I'm concerned,that's a pretty balanced diet.

Leo：Anyway. What's the most popular fast food in the United States?

Sam：All sorts of stuff. Burgers,fries and soft drinks are typical fast food in America.Cheeseburger,hotdog,French fries are really popular.And I think pizzas,fish fingers,lasagna,things like that,also belong to fast food.

Leo：OK. The fast food restaurants can be seen everywhere in America. Is that true?

Sam：Yeah. The fast food chains are well developed in United States. McDonald's,Subway,Burger King,Pizza Hut,Starbucks are top on the list.

Leo：They must be in fierce competition.

Sam：Absolutely. Many advertisement signs stand by the roadside.
